Chemistry Tutor and Bases and Asides

Chemistry Tutor and Bases and AsidesDid you know that chemistry tutor acids and bases are exactly the same? We have to ask ourselves how this has happened. Perhaps a professor stated that these are the same, and he believes it is the truth. If we examine the workings of chemicals, we would find that chemistry tutor is actually using a base, and if you have studied under a chemistry tutor, you will have seen the end product in different colours. The red is water and the blue is hydrogen. Other than these two, these two are the only ones used by nature.Once you learn the difference between these two, you can use them to make and react with certain chemicals to make very different reactions occur. For example, if you put two common acids together, these two reactions may include the addition of oxygen, the reduction of one of the acids, or the reduction of the other one. This is why a chemistry tutor will not teach you the different reactions which can be made through the combining of the se two acids, and instead they will teach you a system which can be used to convert one acid into another. In other words, you will learn the conversion of HHO to hydroxide. You might think this is the same as the first reaction that is mentioned above, but when you go back to the book after studying under a chemistry tutor, this will be the last thing they will teach you. There are many of these courses on the internet and they will teach you a whole new system which they will call the 'transmutation system'. They will tell you that the systems are the same, and even though they say they are, there is a big difference in the way they work.In the transmutation system, you are using a simple base, and they will explain that the hydrogen in HHO converted into hydroxide, and they will also tell you how this is done. In the transmutation system, it is a system based on the chemical reactions of these two substances. Now, this might make a student feel that chemistry tutor acids and bases are the same, but as I mentioned, this is not the case. You should investigate all the options that you have available to you and read about them online, or check out the free tutorials on the internet.

The Right Way to Connect with a Stranger on LinkedIn - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / The Right Way to Connect with a Stranger on LinkedIn - Introvert Whisperer The Right Way to Connect with a Stranger on LinkedIn Career Attraction August 18, 2014 Career Development, Communication, Networking No responses Go to top Last week, I received an informational interview request from a stranger as a direct message on LinkedIn. Despite my very busy schedule, I decided to take his call. Over the weekend, I asked myself, “Why did I agree?” Let’s take his email apart and identify its four essential elements so you can use them in your own LinkedIn networking communications. Networking with strangers on LinkedIn can give you great results if you’re deliberate in the process. First, here’s the email I got over LinkedIn from J.: Hi Joshua, I noticed we are both connected to M. F. â€" how do you know M.? I first met her at J.P., and she actually photographed my wedding. Small world. I wanted to touch base with you because I saw an open position at J.R. I thought would be a great fit for me. I’m located in Portland now, and do social media strategy for a digital marketing agency here in town. It’s a fun role, but you know how agencies are â€" fingers in a lot of different businesses, but no ability to truly own a marketing program. It looks like I would be able to do that with the Marketing Communications Manager role that is posted. Would you mind if I called you some time this week to hear about your experience at J.R. and your perspective on the marketing organization there? I’d really appreciate it. J. Now, let’s look at the takeaways: 1. Lead with Something in Common J. begins his email by pointing out our mutual friend M.F., and although I know M.F. from my sister’s college days, what really got my attention was that M.F. was the photographer at his wedding. With LinkedIn, there is a danger your first-degree connection isn’t really a close friend. I went through an Open Networking phase, and about 100 people in my LinkedIn network are complete strangers to me. Don’t assume just because they’re connected that they know each other. J. took a calculated risk. However, he mitigated that risk by further sharing a personal tidbit: he’s married, and our mutual connection photographed his wedding. As another recently married guy, I can very much relate to his situation (i.e., he has my sympathy). 2. Get to the Point â€" Fast J. wastes no time on BS or apologies. He’s writing to me because he saw an open position at a company with which I have a relationship, and he thinks he’d be a fit. Notice he says, “I saw an open position.” He doesn’t assume I know anything about this position. In fact, it was news to me. So I can infer he’s not assuming I’m any kind of decision-maker. I know this is going to be a purely informational interview. Furthermore, he concludes the email by reaffirming that he’s just looking to hear about my experience with J.R., the company, and my perspective on its marketing organization. My guard goes down, because I know he’s not going to put me on the spot or ask me for more than just my opinion. 3. What Makes You Qualified? Without bragging, J. makes it clear that he’s a serious candidate, not one of those job fisherman. He tells me he already works at an agency and that even though he enjoys his current agency, he’s looking for more. He wants to “truly own a marketing program.” It might occur to me, after all, that if he already has a job, why is he looking to make a change? That concern is assuaged. 4. What Do You Want from Me? J. concludes his email with, “Would you mind if I called you sometime this week,” meaning I won’t have to do anything except wait for a phone call and talk to him. Sounds easy. I would have even mentioned the exact amount of time such a conversation would have taken: “Would you mind if I called you this week for just 10 or 15 minutes?” Other Observations You may have also noticed… The email was very short. It took me less than 30 seconds to read. J. named the position he was after, did his research, and I know he won’t waste my time. He is sensitive to and grateful for my time. (“I would really appreciate it…”) The next time you’re reaching out to someone new over LinkedIn, consider bringing in one or more of these elements to your message. I’m sure it will make a big difference in your response rate. Any successful messages you’ve sent on LinkedIn? Please share them in the comments so we can learn from each other! How to Avoid Study Distractions

How to Avoid Study Distractions This is certainly a broad topic, as distractions are everywhere. Not only that, but everybody gets distracted by different things. That is one of the reasons studying can be so difficult and frustrating random aspects of the world are always catching our attention. Especially if you are one with a shorter attention span, staying focused through your studies is no easy process. Here are some great approaches to studying in collegethat you may want to check out as well. Regardless of where we study, the surrounding environment is going to detract us from our work in one way or another. But there are a few distractions that we can control, and they are obvious ones. Ways of shutting them off are simple and effective however, gathering up the discipline to go through with these processes may be difficult. Some of it involves breaking away from things we are addicted to and/or dependent on, and some of it involves preventing procrastination habits. When it comes to both areas, it may be tough yet, in the end, this method could truly turn your study sessions around in a wholly positive way. If you dont need the internet, disconnect it: The internet is probably the number one distraction for most people, so this should be easy to recognize. Whether or not its easy to do, however, is a different story. We all like to say that we wont get on Facebook, we wont check Twitter, we wont check on our favorite YouTube channel, etc. But lets face it: were only human, and checking on these things is usually inevitable. In your mind, you may even preface it with Im just going to look once and then get right back to my work, but it typically ends up lasting longer than one look, right? Therefore, the safest method here would be to either disconnect your internet temporarily at home, or go somewhere without free wi-fi. The latter may be safer, since you could easily reconnect your internet at home. It may be painful, but itll allow you to study much more efficiently. Dont worry, youll survive. Silence your cell phone and put it away: This is pretty similar to the internet disconnection. With your phone by your side, your eyes and hands usually cant help but gravitate toward it. When it goes off, your thoughts will be taken elsewhere, for who knows how long? If you put it away and silence it, the distraction simply wont be there. Of course, we all know this is about as easy as getting away from the internet but its just something youll have to do. Sometimes, turning the phone off altogether may work better than simply silencing it, because that makes it a lot harder to check your messages. You can adjust these rules accordingly to your personal level of dependency. Stay away from T.V.s: This should be pretty self-explanatory. Although you may view the local news or a funny reality show as some needed background noise, it is usually going to end up being more than that. Once any bit of dialogue steals your attention, your mind will get drawn into the program usually unintentionally. Even if your attention is only taken for a couple of minutes at a time, those minutes amount to a lot by the end of your session. It would be pretty frustrating knowing your studying lasted an hour longer than it needed to only because that screen caught your eye every ten minutes. Sometimes you dont even realize how often those T.V. icons are distracting you. Dont carry headphones with you: Some people really work well with a little background music, and thats okay. But if having the music on for background noise is for the same reason you had the T.V. on for background noise, think twice before you load up your songs. Be honest with yourself and figure out if music takes away your study focus. If it does, take your work outside your home and do not bring headphones. Clearly, you cant outwardly play your music in a library or study lounge for everyone else to hear, so a lack of headphones leaves you stuck. However, that initial frustration will be pushed aside for consistently attentive studying. Youd be amazed at how much quicker you can get through material without song lyrics swimming through your head. Stock up all necessary supplies by your side: If your pen runs out of ink, you have to get up and get a new one. If you get thirsty, youll need to go get a bottle of water. If youre cold, you will be forced to go search for a sweater. We may secretly like when these events occur because they give us reasons to get away from our study area, even if just for a minute. But that minute easily turns into more minutes, because once youre off, its hard to get back to business. If you anticipate all of these possible mishaps and keep necessary items near you, however, you will have no reason to leave your study space until you are finished. Here is a great list of 5 random items that can help you studythat you may want to take a look at as well. No one said studying was going to be easy, but you have the ability to create the perfect world for it. Allow yourself this world free of distractions you deserve to achieve the results you desire. And remember: all of these fun distractions will be there waiting for you once you are done. You may also want to take a look at these tips on how to find your study spaceas well.

Dependent and independent variables

Dependent and independent variables Probability is a very important and interesting topic in mathematics. Probability is finding the chances for an event to occur. In a given question there can be more than one event occurring. In such cases it can be checked if one event is dependent or independent from the other. In a question there are two events A and B. If the probability of event A occurring affects the probability of event B then A and B are dependent event. If the probability of event A occurring does not affects the probability of event B then A and B are independent event. Example 1: In a bag there are 5 marbles. Kelly picks a marble without placing the first one back. Are the events independent or dependent? Solution: The first event is picking the first marble. The second event is picking the second marble. Here Kelly picks the second marble without replacing the first marble back in the bag. So the two events are dependent as second pick is after the first pick of the marble. Question: Multiple choice question (Pick the correct option.) The students can choose any field trip between museum and Science Park. Ben picks museum and Sam picks Science Park. What are the events? a) Dependent b) Independent c) None of these. Correct answer: option b. Explanation: The students can choose between any of the two options. Ben choosing to go to the museum doesnt affect Sam choosing to go to the Science Park. Hence both the events are independent events.

Why You Need a Personal Brand (Even If You Think You Dont) - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / Why You Need a Personal Brand (Even If You Think You Don’t) - Introvert Whisperer Why You Need a Personal Brand (Even If You Think You Don’t) Personal branding is one of those terms that are largely unclear or misinterpreted. As a result, some experts in the field are steering away from the term altogether. But I like the term. I think it’s filled with meaning and can see why Tom Peters (business guru) coined the term a decade ago. What Is Branding? To get you clear, let’s first look at this from a purely marketing point of view, since that’s where this term came from. Wiki defines branding as: “Name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one sellers goods or service as distinct from those of other sellers.”People engaged in branding seek to develop or align the expectations behind their brand experience, creating the impression that a brand associated with a product or service has certain qualities or characteristics that make it special or unique. In other words, when you see a McDonald s and eat at a McDonalds, you think of certain visual images, as well as a consistent eating experience and environment. You’re very clear this isn’t going to be a fine dining experience; you know what to expect. That’s what branding does for the buyer. It helps them know where to go to have a specific product or service and experience. How Do You Make Branding Personal? To translate that for your usage, personal branding is what identifies you from another person and what other people can expect when “experiencing” or being with you. In the work context, it’s your work reputation and what people come to value about you. Your personal brand is unique to you. There’s no one else out there with the same constellation of skills and personal behaviors you have. Granted, there may be others with greater expertise than you, but we aren’t talking about a comparison when it comes to personal branding; we’re talking about only you and how you are viewed by others. For example, let’s look at Oprah’s personal brand. Visually, Oprah wears color and smiles. You see pictures of her touching and making contact with people. In her work, her focus is on being curious about the world, supporting the best in others and personal development. You could say many other things about what we expect out of her and how we experience her. All of that is consistent and clear to those of us watching her. We’d all be shocked if she suddenly got cranky and negative. To summarize your personal brand: It’s unique to you. It’s your reputation. It’s how others experience you and what they value about you. It’s what others expect and seek you out for. It’s also what YOU want to be known for. Why Does Personal Branding Matter? With those things in mind, now the big question is: Why is awareness of your personal brand important to your career? Here are 3 very good reasons: 1. If you’re aware of your personal brand and it’s consistent with your career goals, you want to reinforce it so people very clearly understand what you’re all about. It helps people remember you when it’s critical. (Click here to tweet this thought.) 2. If you’re ready to make a change in your career status in the foreseeable future, you want to think through how your brand needs to change so others start “seeing” you at this new level. 3. If you aren’t going where you want in your career, you probably have a mismatch between your personal brand and your aspirations. That means you have to do something to align those two things. You will only go as far as your personal brand supports. Your personal brand is always there, whether you understand it or are deliberate about managing it or not. You will find that if you pay attention to it and continually align it to your career goals, you’ll be more successful at attaining these career goals.
